Conor set up Drake|Hourigan in 2006. He is an experienced architect with particular expertise in building conservation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.

After qualifying from DIT Bolton Street, he worked in Holland, and with Gilroy McMahon Architects in Dublin until 2006. In 2004 he qualified with a Masters degree in Urban and Building Conservation from University College Dublin. In 2006 Conor returned to his native Limerick to set up a home and a business.

Conor Hourigan is a member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and is acredited Conservation Grade II by the RIAI.

Ailish’s areas of expertise include architecture and landscape design. She is an award winning architect and garden designer.

Ailish worked with de Architekten Cie Amsterdam and in Dublin as a project architect with Murray O’ Laoire Architects, from 2000 to 2007 where she worked on large-scale residential developments and social housing. Ailish holds a Masters degree in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of Limerick and  a certificate in horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society. She won a silver-gilt medal at Bloom 2022 with a garden for Sightsavers Ireland, and a silver medal at Bloom in 2014 for the 'Limerick Culture Garden'.
